Middletown musical mecca?

The kids are all right.

Some ambitious booking by Wesleyan students is bringing strange and wonderful music to Middletown over the course of this semester. If you haven't checked out auralwes.com, and you love music, you should. Outside the ivy covered walls, it would be hard to tell, but the avant garde music pop music movement is alive on High Street. From Swedish quirk-folk to West Coast modal meandering, you're likely to find a crowd listening at Wes.

Most of the stuff is difficult, if not impossible to get into if you aren't a Wesleyan student, or at least look like one (of course, there is no one look, mufti is more like it), but this week's Pumpkin Fest at the Long Lane gardens may be the exception.
