Roseanne Cash on the creative process

While I haven't loved every blog by every songwriter in the New York Times effort to give us a glimpse into the songwriting process, I think Roseanne Cash's entries are always honest, revealing and a pleasure to read.

This morning's is as well, with another bonus - a clip from a new songs she's written with Elvis Costello and Kris Kristofferson.

Thanks for the Cash link - I do try to read that section but had yet to check today's edition. The best part of the song (aurally) is Costello's vocal on the bridge. The listener rarely has the opportunity to get an understanding of the process of songwriting. Ms. Cash not only writes songs well but also communicates well (and is not afraid to admit she's not always right.)
