The second Blackpot Festival at the Acadiana Village in Lafayette Louisiana kicked off last night to a crowd that was at least ten times larger than the one which attended the inaugural event last year.
Bonsoir, Catin opened with some all-women Cajun music, followed by the Figgs, a wonderful local string band, then Ann Savoy and the Sleepless nights rendered the barn into a twenties n
ight club. The Pine Leaf boys tore the place down, and then Belton Richard built it back again.
The cooking competition starts today, with plenty of music.
