A few weeks ago I witnessed one of those spontaneous public dance 'jams' at a train station in the Netherlands. A CD store in the shopping mall area of the station cranked-up the house so loud it reverberated throughout the whole wing of the building we were in. I was looking down from the second level. In seconds, what began as two dancing chicks, multiplied into at least 30 or 40 people. It was all over in a minute or two, but a great two minutes. The whole station exploded into a huge group of applauding & "woo-hoo-ing" bystanders. This is the second time I've seen this over here. what a rush!
These are both great spontaneous (and then not-so, but so what?) outbreaks of enthusiasm. Interesting though that everybody had to run to congregate in order to dance -- I guess that's more fun.
