Light in the heart of darkness

At the beginning of George W. Bush's ill begotten reign, I discovered the opinion columns of Mark Morford, a columnist for the San Francisco Gate. Initially I was giddy and intoxicated with this writer who buzzsawed through the dictionary as he dissembled Bush, Cheney and their cronies.

After many columns, I began to return less frequently because I found Morford's carnival of language somehow a little to rich for the real anger I was feeling.

But he's just written this amazingly insightful column about our involvement in Iraq and I urge you to read it, and gain a bit of hope.
