Don't give me that shit about blood, sweat, tears and toil
Back before the war in Iraq began, Billy Bragg released a widely-ignored song called The Price of Oil. It posited the "ridiculous" idea that Bush was invading a country because of its oil reserves. How ludicrous, eh?
Well, now the grandmaster-emeritus of the Federal Reserve, Alan Greenspan, is saying the same thing. But like many of his ilk, he's a day late and a dollar short (not a good thing for an expert in economics). This type of intellectual cowardice places the responsibility for the war as much at his feet as anyone else's. Imagine if he made this information available in 2002.
Don't forget, Billy Bragg at the Calvin Theater in Northampton Massachusetts on October 18.
