Mission accomplished, the sequel

The Petraeus report is coming, and some in Congress are already rising to the surface to get a mouthful of bait.

But the report, and the spin the administration will put on it, will be an eye-diverting feat of prestidigitation and misdirection the likes of which would make Houdini jealous.

My fear, of course, is that the Democratic representatives and Senators will let these proven liars get away with it again. Honest, impartial reports have shown the surge to be a failure on all counts. The White House is already telegraphing their response.

Congress has the power to withhold any additional funds needed to fight this irrational, immoral and ill-advised war.

We need to be sure our representatives hear us. No more war. Nor more money. No more needless deaths. And while you're at it, impeach the bastards.
