The demolition of the brick structure on the old St. John's convent on the promontory overlooking the Arrigoni Bridge over the Connecticut River began in earnest over the past couple of days.

ew Britain where I saw history fall before the wrecking ball during my teens. With this and other recent North end demolitions, I feel like I'm reliving a "redevelopment" philosophy that has been scoffed at for two decades.
