When Obama couldn't come to Connecticut

Seems like Barack Obama was between a rock and a hard case during the heated campaign between Ned Lamont and Creepy Joe™ Lieberman.

At the time, Obama and Lieberman were close, with Lieberman giving the freshman Senator guidance in the august house of laws. So, at the desperate behest of Lieberman campaign, Obama gave his endorsement to Creepy Joe™ in the primary race. During the general election, Obama witheld a large scale endorsement to either candidate, instead providing very limited support to the Lamont campaign.

Now, of course, Lieberman is working with all of his heart to elect Obama's opponent. Colin McEnroe has an interesting take on Lieberman's half-hearted denials of slurs against Obama.
