Three of the musicians visiting Blast From The Bayou at Strawberry Park this weekend have inherited their Daddy's business. They are Geno Delafose who played in his father John's band before he became bandleader when his father died. Wilson Savoy of the Pine Leaf Boys is son of musicians and musicologists Mark and Ann Savoy. And Chris Ardoin comes from a long line of musicians, most directly his father, famed Creole accordionist Laurence "Blaque" Ardoin. Each has taken the music in a slightly new direction while showing great respect for their traditions.
