Steve Earle performed live, mostly solo, and with just a little help from his wife Alison Moorer on vocals, and with some assistance on electronic rhythm machine.
Earle plowed through two dozen songs, most of which came from recent albums (though
The Revolution Starts....Now was largely ignored). Earle was not chatty, until the end of the show, concentrating on delivering lots of music over the two hour range of the show. His audience singalong on
Lay This Hammer Down and his intro to
Jerusalem were the only occasions when he allowed himself to be a bit expansive, and a bit political.
