Walking my cat named dog

I've got half a century of songs rolling through my head, and occasionally one will take root and refuse to leave until I've found it and listened to it again a few times.

This method of release has become increasingly easy, what with youtube and iTunes, not to mention all the nefarious methods of listening to the music on the web.

This song was a Top 40 hit in 1966 when I was a teenager. I owned the 45 rpm single, and several years ago, in the throes of a prior "cat-named-dog" mind loop, I bought a CD reissue. The song is catchy as hell, and makes little sense. As for Norma Tanega, here's what I found on the internets.

I kind of think this would be a good song for Rani Arbo and daisy mayhem to resurrect.
