Afghan civilians have accused the US military of calling down an missle strike on an Afghan wedding party, killing 19 women and children. The Pentagon claims the wedding party was, in actuality, a group of insurgents.

Who do we believe? A military which has lied consistently throughout the course of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, or grieving villagers who have lost their sons, daughters and wives.

Welcome to Hooverville

You may not be old enough to know what a Hooverville is, but surely you understand the meaning of shantytown.

And now, American has begun to spawn largescale shantytowns on the outskirts of major cities. The BBC reports on a homeless tent city in Ontario, CA, just outside of Los Angeles. We can thank our president for making us part of the third world.



And what shall we call them? Bushtowns? Bushland? Bushgardens (oh, that one's taken). I kinda like the sound of Bushburghs.
