Gotta lover her "holy mackerel-ness"

If you haven't had the chance to hear a commentary delivered by Rachel Maddow, or to have seen her fill-in for Olbermann (it's called upstaged), or listened other show on Air America, then you're missing one of the brightest lights in the TV news world. Rachel Maddow has spunk, substance, brains and beauty. She can skewer a blathering conservative with facts, and jolt a glib pundit with her analysis.

And I'm not the only one who thinks so.

The straight talk express in a cul-de-sac

I've really enjoyed Rachel Maddow's appearances on Keith Olbermann's Countdown, and don't get a chance to hear her show on Air America. Recently she demonstrated, point-by-point, how prone John McCain is to defy the logic which he has tried to create on his "straight talk express."

Unlike other commentators who feel obliged to apologize for any criticism of McCain because of his nobility and service to our country, Maddow is willing to call it as she sees it - McCain as the chimera-like, political opportunist who is too old, too confused and way too simple-minded to run this country any better than his Republican predecessor has.
